Many people have little idea of what to expect when travelling to Romania.  Whilst we are regularly put to shame by our Romanian partners' beautiful English, we also often work with people who do not speak English. 

It has proved important over the years for our volunteers to show a willingness to learn the local language, out of courtesy, even if they are never going to become fluent!

We have a few resources available to help you get to grips with this Latin-based language.  It is a manageable language to learn and your efforts won't go unnoticed.
