Who are we?

Music as Therapy is a registered charity (No. 1070760).  Whilst many of our practical activities are implemented by volunteers, there are a few key people who make sure that Music as Therapy can fulfill its obligations to the Charity Commission (the agency that regulates charities in the UK).  This section of our website will enable you to find out a little more about the people behind Music as Therapy.

Music as Therapy was awarded a Charity Award in the category of International Aid and Development (2006).

The award followed a nomination by The Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust:  ‘We have always been greatly impressed with their achievements in Romania, which they accomplish with a wonderfully slim administration.’

Please note:  We are not able to help organise music therapy for people in England, or any country other than Romania.  To arrange music therapy in the UK, you should contact the Association for Professional Music Therapists
